Breaking: Protest By Ad-Hoc Staff Rocks INEC Office

Less than 24 hours before the Presidential and National Assembly elections are due to hold, some ad-hoc staff recruited by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are protesting at the electoral umpire’s office in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The protest was ongoing as at press time on Friday.
According to the protesters, the electoral umpire was said to have failed to pay them since their recruitment.
They equally accused INEC of having failed to list them for duties for the elections despite having undergone the requisite training.
A few security operatives were seen trying to pacify the protesters as at press time.
No staff of INEC had addressed them as at press time.
