Ihedioha Charges Public Officials on Transparency, Discipline

Governor of Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha Thursday, charged public office holders in the state to embrace transparency in service, even as he urged them to exhibit high degree of discipline in the discharge of their duties.

Governor Ihedioha gave the charge while addressing members of the state expanded Executive Thursday, in the ongoing Retreat organized by the state government at Crystal Lake Hotel, Oguta.

According to him, “the present administration in the state is committed to implementing transparency initiatives and will not tolerate indiscipline of any sort. We must show good example by being disciplined in the discharge of our duties. We have zero tolerance for devious behaviour.”

Continuing, the Governor charged the participants to be diligent in the discharge of their duties, urging them to take maximum advantage of the Retreat towards enhancing their performance in office.

The 3-day Retreat, which commenced on Wednesday, ends on Friday, 25th October, 2019.

Participants at the Retreat are members of the expanded State Executive Council, made up of Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
