Imo PDP Passes Vote Of Confidence On Ihedioha


The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State has passed a vote of confidence on the state governor Emeka Ihedioha, ahead of his attainment of 100 days in office.

The endorsement of the governor came when the State Executive Council acknowledged the milestones recorded by the governor.
According to a press release signed by Damian Oparah, Publicity Secretary, the listed achievements of the governor inclded return of sanity and due process in the governance of the state, accountability and transparency, independence of the Local Government Administration, reconstitution of the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) charged to conduct LG elections soon, the signing of eight executive bills and the flag off of the 9.8 billion naira erosion control in Ideath North LGA.
Others are the flag off 13.5 billion naira 380km rural roads in collaboration with RAMP, the commencement of massive road construction across the state, control of massive flooding of Owerri which had ravaged the state in the past eight years, the revitalization of technical education through the reconstruction and reequipping of 3 major technical schools in the state, award of contract to revitalize the water board to provide public water and the symbiotic relationship between the three arms of government and separation of powers.

The State Executive Committee of Imo PDP commended the governor for his achievements, noting that he has not only driven the vision of the party for Imo State, but also exhibited love and passion for the state by spreading his appointments beyond party lines.

They expressed confidence that with Ihedioha spearheading the PDP government, the state would be steadied on the path of greatness.
