Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El- Rufai was alleged to be responsible over the spate of killings going on in the state by most Senators yesterday on the floor of the Senate.
This is even as the Senate resolved that the leadership of the National Assembly should urgently have an interface with relevant stakeholders within the executive arm of government for way out of the incessant wanton killings in Kaduna and other affected states .
The alleged complicity of El-Rufai in the killings that started in Kasua mageni in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State last Saturday where close to 100 lives have been lost within the area and Kaduna metropolis , came to the fore during debate on a motion sponsored by Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi ( PDP Kaduna North).
Specifically, Senators Danjuma La’ah ( PDP Kaduna South) and Philip Gyunka ( PDP Nasarawa North) , in their contributions put the blame of the recent wanton killings on El-rufai.
According to Senator La’ah , it was wrong for El-rufai to have traveled outside the country without informing the Deputy Governor , Bala Bantex and the State House of Assembly let alone, handing over responsibility of governance .
