The taskforce created by the governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, to recover assets stolen by the former governor, Rochas Okorocha, and his cohorts has on Thursday night invaded a shopping mall, House of Freeda, reportedly owned by Okorocha’s daughter.
The taskforce, it was reported invaded the shopping mall in search of government property and carted away property and merchandise believed to belong to the state government.
During the raid, several workers in the complex were severely wounded.
Properties and merchandise including clothes, chairs and refrigerators were carted away during the exercise which was supervised by the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Jasper Ndubuaku.
Reports also have it that fierce looking youths raided shop owned by individuals not related to the former governor and carted away electronic appliances and other expensive items that were displayed for sale.
