Okorocha Delivers Handover Note Eight Days After Leaving Office


Information reaching The Agenda Online Newspaper indicates that the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha today delivered his handover note to the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.
The Agenda Online Newspaper gathered that the handover note was delivered through his Principal Secretary, Engr. Emeka Duru.
The handover note was received on behalf of the Governor by the Secretary to the State Government, Rt. Hon. Uche Onyeagucha in his office early on Friday.
Receiving the handover note, the Secretary to the State Government said that the immediate past Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had refused to handover to the present Governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha after he left office on 29th May 2019.
In berating the former governor, Onyeagucha stated that, “such act is a sheer abberation and contradicts the principle of constitutional and democratic governance”.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Barr. Chris Okewulonu, said that the Governor will take time to study the handover note and communicate to the general public at the appropriate time.
