President Buhari Approves Appointment Of New NDDC Board


    President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a new board for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
    The appointment which is subject to Senate confirmation was made known in a press release signed by Olusegun Adekunle, Permanent Secretary General Services Office on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
    The approved the composition of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is made up of the following persons: Chairman Dr. Pius Odubu (Edo), Managing Director Bernard O. Okumagba (Delta), Executive Director Projects Engr. Otobong Ndem (Akwa Ibom), Executive Director Finance and Administration Maxwell Okoh (Bayelsa), Delta Representative, Prophet Jones Erue, Edo Representative Chief Victor Ekhatar, Rivers Representative Dr. Joy Yimebe Nunieh Rivers, Abia Representative Nwogu Nwogu.
    Others are, Bayelsa Representative Theodore A. Allison, Akwa Ibom Representative, Victor Antai, Cross River Representative Maurice Effiwatt, Ondo Rep Olugbenga Elema, Imo Representative Hon. Uchegbu Chidiebere Kyrian, Northwest Representative Aisha Murtala Muhammed, Kano, Northeast Representative Ardo Zubairu, Adamawa, Southwest Representative Engr. Badmus Mutalib, Lagos
    The press release stated that the interim management headed by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa has been directed to hand-over to the most senior Director in the Commission.
    The Chairman and members of the newly composed Governing Board were expected to be at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday, 2nd September, 2019 at 2.00 p.m for proper documentation and briefing.
    They are to come along with their updated CVs and valid identification.
