His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, the King of kings and Lord of lords and leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has despatched relief materials and food items to Nigerians sacked by surging floods in parts of Bayelsa and Delta States.
He sent the items and other supports to the Internally Displaced Persons over the weekend and charged well to do persons and organisations to always remember those in need and affliction and respond swiftly to their plight.
Obu said he was much concerned by the ordeal which the IDPs were going through, assuring that he would not be tired of extending supports to those in need.
He encouraged the leadership of his spiritual organization in Delta state to redeem an earlier promise where they had assured that they would return to the IDP camps in the state to practically demonstrate their concern.
The Brotherhood team that visited the Patani IDP camps was led by Divine Vanguard Princess Edi-Osisike and SCS Chuks Agboha who were also accompanied by other members of the organisation.
They donated bags of rice, hundreds of tubers of yam, gallons of cooking and groundnut oil, plantains and bags of salt and prayed for their well being and swift rehabilitation.
Chairman of the IDP camp, Mr Omiebi Ladein and commandant, Brialade Ebi who received the items on behalf of the IDPs, expressed gratitude to the spiritual leader for remembering them at the time of their critical needs.
Ladein said they were moved by the show of love by the spiritual leader and called on government and other leaders in the country to emulate what Obu has done for them.
