Tribunal To Adopt 10 Cases In Cross River End Of July

The panels one of the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Calabar will formally adopt ten cases in some of the petitions that have been treated at the ongoing trials at the tribunal.

This was confirmed in a signed statement made available at the tribunal today by its Secretary, Mrs. Josephine Ekperobe She said five of the cases would be adopted on July 29, 2019 while the other five will similarly be adopted by the tribunal the next day, July 30, 2019.

Some of the cases involved petitions in respect of National Assembly and the state House of Assembly elections held earlier in the year.

One of such star cases to be adopted is that of EPT/CAL/5/01/19 in the matter between former Senate leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba vs Dr Sandy On or and two others.

Another such matter is EPT/CAL/HR/11/19 in the matter between former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, John Gaul Lebo vs the All Progressives Congress (APC).
